Marion Bodily Snider

1940 ~ 2011

Marion Bodily Snider, 70, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, June 8, 2011. She will be truly missed.

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Vernon and Hazel Bodily on December 8, 1940. Marion was raised in Syracuse, Utah where she made life-long friends, rode horses and enjoyed farm life.

She graduated from Davis High School and met her husband of 50 years while cruising Washington Boulevard.

Marion married Ken Snider on June 30, 1961 in Clearfield, Utah where they chose to live and raise their family. They spent many summers vacationing in their trailer, camping and seeing the sights of Utah, along with other places from coast to coast.

Marion inherited the "gift of gab" from her dad, making new acquaintenances wherever she went. She enjoyed crocheting, stitching, ceramics, reading and spending time with her family.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Hazel Bodily, her brother, Guy Bodily and sister, Shirley Olson.

She is survived by her husband, Ken Snider of Clearfield, UT; her daughters, Sheri (Jeff) McKnight of West Jordan, UT; Barbara (Kelly) Hatch of Paradise, UT; grandchildren, Alyssa and Kayla McKnight, Chase and Kylee Hatch; sister, Ione (Leonard) Keller of Riverdale, UT; and brother Larry (Carol) Bodily of Chualar, CA.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Syracuse City Cemetery, 1787 So. 2000 W. Friends may visit family on Saturday from 11 to 12:30 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staffs at Ogden Regional Medical Center, Alpine Hospice and Specialty Nursing Services, especially Cindy.
