Marion R. Wadman

Marion R. Wadman passed away of natural causes at Mountain View Health Services on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 3:35 p.m. Her family had the privilege of visiting with her up until her death. She was born in Ogden, Utah to Orville B. and Margaret Moyes Rupe on February 10, 1916. Her siblings include Dale and Orville Rupe, Jr. Margaret Stevens, Helen James Wainwright, and Doris Barto. She attended Washington School and graduated from Ogden High in 1934.
In 1935, she married Raymond A. Wadman, and to that union six children were born, Maryonne A. Yeaman Wilson, Dell Ray (Anna), Barrie-deceased (Sandra), Walter Clair, Curtis, and Kim (Regina) Wadman. Her posterity also includes 18 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. Marion and Ray resided in Ogden all of but ten years, when they purchased a motel in Sebastopal, California. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they married in the newly built Oakland Temple for time and all eternity.
She was a lovely lady; always meticulously groomed, talented in the art of crochet, a seamstress, a great cook, always a loving mother! Employment outside the house included the motel, Wadman Realty Company, J.C. Penney Company, and Kiddleville.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; her parents, a brother, two sisters, two grandchildren, and son, Barrie.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment and dedication of the grave will be at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
