MarJean Beasley Lorenze

August 19, 1935 - October 27, 2014

MarJean B. Lorenze passed away Monday, October 27, 2014 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born August 19, 1935 to Francis L. and M. Joy Beasely.

In August of 1956, MarJean married Louie Lorenze. They later divorced.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Hooper 1st Ward.

In her youth, MarJean enjoyed playing softball and barrel racing.

She worked at Hill Air Force Base as an Inventory Management Specialist. After retirement from HAFB, she worked at McDonald’s in Roy for ten years.

MarJean enjoyed Thursday night bowling league, traveling throughout the USA, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Utah Jazz, and Hooper tomatoes. Her greatest passions were family and her beautiful yard.

MarJean is survived by her children, Dianna Spensko, Price, UT; Shanna Lee (Ronnie) Duncan, Clinton, UT; Teresa (Jed) Bodily, North Salt Lake, UT; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Bader, Moreno Valley, CA; sister-in-law, Bonnie Beasley and brother-in-law, Duane Patterson. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Dennis Spensko, brother Darrel Beasley, and sister Cora Patterson.

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 31st at 2 p.m. at the Hooper Cemetery, 5290 South 6300 West. The family will meet with friends prior to the services from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
