Marjorie Wilkinson Collard, 85 of Layton Utah passed away May 20, 2022 at 9:40 a.m. in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loved ones.

Marjorie was born on April 13,1937 to Samuel DeLile Wilkinson and Thelma Celesta Jackman in Richfield, Utah. Where she grew up a smalltown city girl. Marjorie spent all her life raising her family which she adored with every part of herself.  

She was fiercely independent, growing up fast and early by becoming a mother in her teens. She later met Leo Collard, her forever honey; together they raised their five kids in Layton. They later adopted one more, completing their family.

Marjorie was a longtime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a strong testimony of the gospel. She found peace and comfort in knowing that families are forever, she is reunited with Leo and other family members who have crossed through the veil and will eventually be with their entire family.

Marjorie loved to go shopping, especially if it involved a clearance rack! She was the most dedicated early morning, proficient yard sale enthusiast, bartering for the best deals, always for things that weren’t exactly needed. She loved a good round of bingo. She was a ornithologist, from finches and parakeets, to her cuckoo clocks. But most of all, Marjorie loved her family.

Marjorie is survived by daughter, Rebecca; and son, Larry; 16 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; sons, Ken and Wayne; daughters, Marilyn and Bonnie; parents and siblings.

Graveside services will be held Monday, May 23, 2022, 12 p.m.at Huntington City Cemetery, UT-31 and 400 W. Street. Friends may visit with the family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd.
