Our beloved sister, Marjorie Fay Gifford, 70, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 3, 2008, at the Beehive Homes in West Jordan, Utah.

She was born May 5, 1938 in Logan, Utah, to John Darrel Peterson and Marie Schmidt. She married Rex Gifford November 15, 1967, in Salt Lake City, and they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1968.

Marjorie was a faithful member of the LDS Church, and enjoyed doing temple work. She loved people, and was loved by those who knew her. She did beautiful embroidery work, and enjoyed making quilts.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and three brothers. She is survived by 4 brothers and 2 sisters: Alton Peterson, Carol (Clark-deceased) Peterson Bingham, Ilene (Jack) Bradshaw, DeLores (Ted) Henninger, LeRoy Peterson, Rodney Peterson, Ralph (Sandie) Peterson, and Raelene (Calvin-deceased) Peterson, as well as her best friend Swendy Van Dorn.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to Beehive Homes for the excellent care they have given Marjorie.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Westbrook 1st Ward Chapel, 6500 South Dixie (3665 West), West Jordan. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 9, at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel, with a viewing one hour prior to the services.

Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
