Marjorie Alice Weaver Henderson

Marjorie Alice Weaver Henderson joyously returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. A glorious reunion with her loved ones is happening there. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Reed H. Henderson, her beautiful daughter, Maryelyne, her parents, T.H. and Ellen Weaver, grandson, Zachary White, three sisters, four brothers, and many other friends and relatives. They are surely rejoicing at being reunited with her.

Marjorie "Midge" Henderson was born June 11, 1922 in Ogden, Utah. She was educated in Ogden City Schools, Pingree Elementary, Washington Junior High, and Ogden High School, graduating in 1940.

Her most precious job was wife, mother and grandmother. She also worked at DDO (Arsenal), Woolworths, H.J. Boney Turkey, Dixon Trophy, and Washington Square Senior Center.

Marjorie "took every LDS Church job ever offered her" including Cub Scouts, Primary, Relief Society and Young Women, both ward and stake. She wrote many road shows and poetry for all kinds of events. She was an active member of the Riverdale 1st Ward, Ogden 34th, 37th, 55th, 74th and Forrest Green Wards. She loved The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived it''s tenets, seeing the best in everyone. She was 4-H leader, a baseball coach, the world''s greatest carpool organizer and church event planner.

She bowled for 30 years with the Holy Rollers bowling league and loved two dinner groups which both met for over 40 years. She considered everyone she met a friend.

Marjorie will be missed by her eight children, Peggy Henderson, Bruce and Sherrie Henderson, Kay and Leon Peterson, Robin and Bill Parent, Heidi and Tracy Welch, Teri Anderson, R. Tate Henderson, Lori and Lance Stalcar, 31 grandchildren and their spouses, 55 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends from near and far.

The family would like to thank the staff of Applegate Homecare and Hospice especially Bonnie. Special honor goes to daughter, Robin, her husband Bill, and granddaughters, Kimberly Peterson and Mechelle Thomas for their loving care of our Mom. No one could have been more kind and loving than they. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 4th at 11 a.m. at the Weber Heights Stake Center Chapel, 1401 Country Hills Drive.

The family will meet with friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the stake center.
