CLEARFIELD a€" Marjorie Brown Steed, 90, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Davis Hospital. She was born March 21, 1921 in Blackfoot, ID, to Claude and Mary M. Jones Brown.

Marjorie married Don F. Steed on May 21, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away in 2005. She was a lifelong resident of Clearfield and was active in the LDS Clearfield 18th Ward. She was an excellent homemaker and loved to travel, spending many winters in Arizona.

She is survived by three sons: Richard (Debbie) Steed, Clearfield; Greg (Dawn) Steed, Syracuse; Larry Steed, West Point; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a brother, Claude (LaRue) Brown, Boise, ID; and two sisters, Rhea Jean Duckworth, Fruit Heights, and Barbara (Rudy) Van Orden, Phoenix, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, parents, daughter Beverly Ann Stevens, son Dennis, and her brother Virgil Brown.

Graveside services will be held Monday, April 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield City Cemetery, 1050 South State. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.
