Marjorie Bonnemort Adams Whitesides

LAYTON – Marjorie Bonnemort Adams Whitesides returned home to our Father in Heaven on Friday, May 16, 2014.

Marjorie was born July 29, 1918 in Kaysville, Utah the daughter of Melvin and Vera Bonnemort Adams. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Dale L. Whitesides, son Lewis Dale Whitesides and two brothers Joseph B. Adams and Van Adams.

Marjorie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a devoted loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. Surviving; her daughter Margo Whitesides Day (Forrest), grandchildren; Sidney Christy (Clay), Corey Day, Kyle Day (Robyn), Kady Lieber (Matt), Kevin Day (Shannon) and 11 great-grandchildren who love and adore her.

Marjorie graduated from Davis High School and attended Utah State University and Weber State College. She married Dale L. Whitesides on November 20, 1943 in Elko, Nevada. She lived most of her life on Church Street in Layton, Utah.

Marjorie had a deep love for the mountains and valleys of the Wasatch Front. As a young girl she loved spending time camping and riding her horse in the mountains with her dear friends. Later in life she loved spending time traveling and camping all over Utah, Nevada and California in her trailer with her husband Dale.

Marjorie loved spending time with her family and looked forward to holiday parties and Sunday dinners. She also loved her weekly “Sister Lunches” with her dear friends and loved going out to eat with many other wonderful friends. She loved visits from her daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and niece Sandra and was so proud of each member of her family. Her love and concern for each one of them was evident her entire life, even at the end. Marjorie touched many lives and will be greatly missed by so many.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. Friends may visit family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the many family members and friends who were such a wonderful part of Marjorie’s life and particularly to the staff members of Legacy Village and Chancellor Gardens, where Marge lived for the past 3 years.
