Mark V. Chase

Mark V. Chase ROY – Mark V. Chase, 48, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009 from cardiac arrest due to complications from surgery in August of 2008. We are comforted to know he has been reunited with his mother, brother, aunt, and his great-niece. Mark was the third son born to Frank R. and Frances Chase of Roy, on December 11, 1960. He was raised and attended school in Roy. For the past several years, he resided with his brother, Rusty, in Layton. He worked for several years for Utility Trailer. He took a break and became a trained electrician, but eventually returned to Utility Trailer where he worked until his death. Mark was full of life. He loved sports – his favorite teams being the Denver Broncos and Utah Jazz. He also collected sports cards and loved video games and action movies. He had numerous friends, too many to mention them all, that included Steve Perea, Jeff Roberts, Artie Howard, Tony Gentile and a longtime special friend, Tawna Tarran. Surviving are his father and stepmother, Frank R. and Connie Chase of Roy; one brother, Rusty R. Chase, Layton; two sisters, Nannette (Robert) Sepluveda, Mesa, AZ; Theresa Kinne, Ogden; two cousins of Salt Lake City; and several nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Frances, his brother, Kirk B. Chase, his aunt Gloria Powers and grandniece, Krista Fuller. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 25 at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road. Funeral Directors, Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
