Mark Steven Churchill

December 7, 1983 ~ December 20, 2015

Mark Steven Churchill, 32, returned home to his Heavenly Father following an extended illness surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born in Union City, Pennsylvania, where he lived, enjoyed and ran free in his beloved Pennsylvania woods with his brothers. He also lived in Idaho, Smithfield, and Roy, Utah, where he met and married the love of his life, his high school sweetheart, Harmony Jean Hill. They spent their married lives together in Clinton and were blessed with their beautiful son, Patrick.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mark worked in manufacturing for years and was a strong, hard worker.

He is dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed. He was bigger than life and had a heart that was even bigger. He was the life of the party, and loved his many family get-togethers spent playing games, eating, laughing, and telling jokes until the break of day.

Mark had many passions. He loved to go camping in the mountains, especially among the pines. He enjoyed every moment of it building fires that reached to the stars that were never extinguished during the trip, not even in the day.

He loved to fish and spent many hours relaxing and clearing his mind on the peaceful waters.

Mark was an excellent cook and loved sharing his delicious dishes with his family that were always his own, never from a recipe book. Some of his other interests included bowling, target shooting and playing video games.

He is survived by his adoring and loving wife, Harmony, their precious son, Patrick, his mother, Rose Churchill, his parents-in-law Tracy and Jean Hill, his brothers Jeremy, Kenny, David, Brian, and Brad, his sisters Elena, Yvonne, and Heather, his grandpa, uncles, aunts, cousins, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Matt, and his grandparents.

Mark, we love you so very much. Our hearts are broken, our souls are aching, but we are at peace knowing that through the atonement of our Lord, Savior, and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, we will be with you again and embrace you once more, as you already have Matt. Until that day, run free our dear “Markle Sparkle” and “Marcus Arelius”. You are at long last in peace.

We will honor Mark on Monday, December 28, 2015, at the Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. Mark’s viewing will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. followed by his funeral service at 11 a.m.

Interment, West Point Cemetery.
