R. Mark Hatch
1951 - 2017
The most valiant, selfless, Christ-like person we know returned home with honor on March 22, 2017. One of God’s noble sons, Mark was a powerfully humble teacher who shared countless lessons, not only through his words but through his example. His early adoration of the Lord led to serving a mission to the people of Argentina.
He was sealed for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple to his high school sweetheart, Bette Ann Robins on September 5, 1975. They were blessed with seven children and 21 grandchildren.
His greatest love is his Savior Jesus Christ and his family. His happiest times bloomed in those precious moments together. Much of his time was spent at Hatch Auto where he worked with his brothers. With tender deliberateness and a perfectionist’s eye to detail, he tackled the work the Lord gave him. His gentle, soft spoken manner melted many defenses. He touched innumerable lives, one by one, with his dedicated service. His authentic approach helped everyone feel comfortable and loved. He emulated the Master he served. We miss him.
He is leaving behind his wife and six children: Hillary (Bret) Biddulph, Burke (Heidi) Hatch, Clark Hatch, Allison (Greg) Gabbitas, Brittany (Jed) Flint, Meridith (Zach) Christensen, 21 grandchildren; three brothers, Kevin, Steve, and Scott; two sisters, Chyrl King and Karen Armstrong.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Phyllis Hatch, and a son, Todd (stillborn).
