Surrounded by family, Mark Edward Lowry, age 54, returned to his Heavenly Parents on June 29, 2024 in Ogden, Utah.
He was born on June 12, 1970 in Bountiful, Utah to Ronald Dale Lowry and Sandra Rae Smith. He grew up in Sandy, Utah and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1988. He loved scouting and earned the highest rank of Eagle Scout. He served an LDS mission to the Spain Bilbao Mission. He came home after a year of service, due to medical issues, and was reassigned to the California Anaheim Mission. He took various classes at Utah Valley Community College and Salt Lake Community College and worked in the customer service industry. His many hobbies included drawing, making paracord bracelets, family history, cooking, treasure hunting at thrift stores, and watching movies. The things he loved most were: his family, the Gospel, music, and his cats.
Mark will be remembered by his contagious laugh and generous heart. He was always telling jokes and funny stories. He wanted all those around him to share in the fun.
He is survived by his father, Ronald Lowry, his four siblings, Kurt Lowry, Todd Lowry (Patty), Leslie Rasmussen (Chris), Lyndsey Daughters (Seth), and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Smith Lowry.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Val Verda 4th Ward, 2633 S 50 W, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will precede the services starting at 9:30 AM. Interment will be at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 Bengal Blvd., Cottonwood Heights, UT. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
