Mark Andrew Neering

A loving husband, father and grandfather, Mark A. Neering passed away Monday August 17, 2009 in Layton, UT of natural causes.

Mark was born April 18, 1952 to Rodney and Joyce Neerings in Salt Lake City, UT. He grew up in a home full of love and mischief as one of 11 kids. He graduated from East High and soon after met and married his beloved and caring wife Kathy on August 23, 1972 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married 37 years.

Mark was a devoted provider for his family which grew to 6 with the addition of children Chris, Stephen, Shauna and Jason. He loved his family and enjoyed attending activities with them. He enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by family which continued to grow with 8 adoring grandchildren who loved using grandpa as their jungle gym. He always looked forward to his time with his grandkids.

His green thumb kept his home surrounded with foliage and bright flowers that seemed to magically appear each year. He enjoyed being outside and took pride in providing a warm and inviting home.

Mark''s quiet presence and unassuming manner will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, brother Richard and sister Janet. He was survived by his wife and children, brothers Stan, Ron and Greg and sisters Marsha, Sherie, Wendy, Jodi and Kim.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
