Mark Edward Rose, 71 years old passed away December 27, 2024. Mark was born on September 12, 1953 to Lloyd Halver and Vera Lou Hall Rose. Mark attended Clearfield High School before joining the United States Navy from October 19, 1970, to May 13, 1973. He is a Vietnam Veteran, serving his last duty on USS-CV-43 USS Coral Sea Aircraft Carrier, West Pacific Tour.
Mark married the love of his life, Cheryl Green Rose, on June 12, 1977. Together they raised two children, Tavin and Lorie. He worked for Washington Terrace City until he started his own trucking company in 1987. Mark was in many local bands from the 1960's until he started his own band, LittleRock, in 1979 until 1985. The band also backed many recording stars. Mark started LittleRock up again with all new players from 1992 to 1994.
Mark enjoyed his family first, with other enjoyment in music, camping, hunting, and fishing. He also coached Little League Baseball for 10 years in Washington Terrace.
Mark is survived by his wife Cheryl Rose, son Tavin (Jenny) Rose, daughter Lorie (Mark) Chatlin, five grandchildren and one great-grandson. Also surviving are his mother, Vera Rose, brother Dennis (Jodee) Rose, and sister Lynn (Eddy) Bass. He leaves behind many extended family and friends all of whom loved him and will miss him dearly.
Mark was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Rose, sisters Julie Rose, Lorna Millar, Louan Johnston, and brother Glen Rose.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with the family in Celebrating Mark on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Community Center at Lindquist’s Office Building, 3434 Washington Blvd.
Mark had a very kind heart and wanted to donate to all the heart wrenching commercials, so in lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
The family extend their thanks to the Intermountain Hospice Team.
