Mark W Seegmiller

KAYSVILLE a€" On Friday night, November 18, 2011 our beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend was called home tragically and unexpectedly to his Father in Heaven. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him and we look forward to being reunited with him and enjoying his special spirit again.

Mark was born in Ogden, Utah on June 2, 1964 to W. Grant and Sharon Boothe Seegmiller. He was the third of five sons. He lived in Ogden, Vernal, UT and Kaysville, UT as he grew up. He graduated from Davis High School. In his youth he marched in the Lagoon Band, loved playing sports, and earned his Eagle Scout award.

He served an LDS mission in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Upon his return, he attended and graduated from Utah State University. He met and married the light of his life and best friend, Stacey Lynn Bringhurst, on June 8, 1989 in the Salt Lake Temple. To that union, four children graced their home: Sasha Lynn, Austin Kent, Braden Mark, and Samantha Lessley. They spent many years living in West Jordan before settling in Kaysville, where they have resided for the past six years.

Mark was employed as a loan officer for Mountain America Credit Union in Centerville at the time of his death. He loved the work he did and the opportunities it gave him for service.

Most importantly, Mark loved the Lord and worked toward perfection as he served his church in many different capacities. As a faithful member of the Kaysville Angel Park Ward he was a participant in several Pioneer Trek outings as a youth and as an adult. He served as Bishop to the Elm Creek Ward and High Councilman in the Bingham Creek Stake in West Jordan. He served recently as a counselor in the Stake Young Men''s organization and as Scout Commissioner in the Kaysville Utah Stake. He had an especially strong testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel and he loved to share it and bring joy to all he knew.

Dates with his wife, loving and supporting his children in their activities, attending the temple, playing golf with his brothers, family outings, running, gardening, traveling, coaching sports of any kind and ballroom dancing were the highlights of his life.

He loved his family with all his heart and they loved him dearly. He will be sorely missed by each and every one. He is survived by his loving wife, Stacey, children Sasha, Austin, Braden and Samantha; parents W. Grant and Sharon Seegmiller, brothers Brian (Denise), Todd (Linda), Greg (Pam) and Colin (Lacy); several nieces and nephews, many aunts and uncles, and his parents-in-law, Kent and Elsie Bringhurst.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Stake Center, 615 No. Flint Street. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the stake center. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.

Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main.
