His journey in this life included being diagnosed at an early age with Autism. He lost his hearing
from an ear infection as a small child, but had it restored with a blessing from the missionaries
serving in Salem Oregon. He spent time growing up in Salem, Oregon, Rexburg, Idaho, and

Mark served in the North Carolina Charlotte Mission. After returning from his mission, he
volunteered as a veil worker.in the Salt Lake Temple.
After meeting Angeline Packard at a regional church dance, they were married three months
later to the date in the Jordan River Temple. They were the parents of five children: Amanda,
Mark Skyler, Jeremiah James, Kevin Patrick and Luara Ashley. They later divorced.
He enjoyed being “on vacation” while delivering RV trailers working for his good friend and
former mission companion Kevin Kennedy. Kevin was one his “brothers from another mother”,
and took especially good care of him. Kevin’s family accepted him as a part of their family,
which we are very grateful for.
Mark was diagnosed with T-Cell Large Granular Lymphocyte Leukemia in Oct 2020. On
December 29, 2022 Mark underwent surgery for Ependymoma, a tumor surrounding his
cerebellum. Doctors at the University of Utah Hospital were able to get most of the tumor, but
he was unable to recover from this challenge.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents, and brother David. He is survived by siblings Ruth
Hunsaker (Stewart), and Alex (Rachel), his children and two grandchildren, and many special
friends who cared for him including Kevin & Kim Kennedy, Andie Gillett, Todd Richardson and
