Mark Wardian

October 24, 1950 — April 1, 2018

Mark passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018, in SLC, UT, of natural causes.  He was born October 24, 1950 in Eau Claire, WI, to Claud M. and Loismae Meisner Wardian.

He was raised in Clearfield, UT, attending Clearfield schools, graduating from Clearfield High School in 1969.  He attended Utah Technical College, graduating in June 1970, with a diploma in Machine Shop.  He enlisted in the Army in August, 1970, and served in Vietnam.  He worked at Hill AFB for several years, among various other jobs throughout his life.

Mark married Sheila Ross on January 1, 1990, welcoming two stepsons, Chris and Shawn Zwemke.  They were later divorced.

He loved nature and all animals and enjoyed spending time in the mountains.

Mark is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Dianne and Alan Cole, and his nephew, Rylan Cole, all of Layton, UT.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Friends may visit with family on Monday, April 23, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, Layton, UT.   There will be a brief music video presentation at 7:00 p.m.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, Layton, UT.
