Marla Ann Murphy-Snyder

1971 – 2016

Our beautiful sister, Marla Ann, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 22, 2016. She has left this earth to return to the loving arms of her mother and father. She was born to Sheridon and Roylene Murphy in Ogden,  Utah on the 4th of July and has been a firecracker in the lives of her family and many of her friends ever since.

Marla enjoyed a happy childhood growing up in Layton, Utah where she graduated from Layton High School in 1989. She went on to pursue a career in Cosmetology where she lovingly enriched the lives of her clients until her hands would no longer allow her to work her magic.

Later in life, she met and married her sweetheart Jason Snyder and spent several years enjoying common interests and each other’s company.

Marla was a loving and fun person that had a wonderful talent of making others feel her love. She made you feel like you were the most important person in the room. She had an infectious laugh and her giggle could make you smile regardless of any circumstance. She had a love for animals especially dogs. She loved and left behind her little companion Oliver who had just recently become a part of her life.

Marla Ann is survived by her husband, Jason Snyder, her siblings Marceen Porter, Monde Murphy, Matt Murphy, Mark Murphy and Cinda Rosenwinkel. She also had many nieces and nephews that she adored and cherished.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother Roylene Taylor Murphy, her father Sheridon Murphy, and her sweet little niece Jordain Michelle Murphy.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Layton 6th Ward, 1402 N. Fort Lane, Layton.  Friends may visit family Saturday from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at the church.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
