Marland J. Turner
WASHINGTON TERRACE – Marland Judson Turner, 63, died Sunday, June 15, 2008 at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden.
He was born March 13, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska, a son of Weldon Harris and Ione Elaine Parmely Turner. Marland lived in the Ogden area for most of his life.
He was an active member of the Presbyterian Church.
Marland worked as a custodian at Bonneville High School and was Bonneville’s “Biggest Fan” for over 40 years. He had a nearly spotless attendance record for school activities and sports.
In 2002, Marland was nominated and was able to run with the Olympic Torch for the Salt Lake City Winter Games.
Marland was loved by many and will be missed.
Surviving is his sister, Sandra, of Ogden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Joy.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Monday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
