Marlene Hickerson

May 7, 1968 — February 7, 2019

Marlene Francine Hickerson

Marlene Francine Hickerson was born May 7, 1968 “never be late”, in Dover, Delaware.  She was educated in Delaware, Montana, Guam and California.  Her cosmetology skills in hair, makeup and nails have truly beautified so many the number is unending.

Marlene also was a self taught chef.  Cooking her creations made people smack their lips with joy.  Deep love and gratitude came out when cooking for others.

The parents she loved were mother, Frances Smith who resides in Odenton, MD and Edward Smith, father of Ogden, Utah.  She leaves behind two brothers Mark Hickerson of Dallas, TX and Edward Smith of Bountiful, Utah.  Two sisters Carla Betters of Buena Park, CA and Fikisha Smith of Odenton, MD.

She will be joining her older brother Charles (Chuckie) Hickerson that she loved dearly who passed prior to Marlene.  She was the mother of six sons, whom she loved and fought for her whole life.  Steven Hickerson, Kenneth St. Sauver, Adam Serta, Tristen St. Sauver, Anthony St. Sauver and Nathan Hickerson.  Grandmother of five; Keyona, Steven, Lilliana, Levell, Lyla and coming soon her 6th grandbaby.

Marlene meant, helped and loved so many as so many loved her.  She was amazing, wild, fun loving, full of spunk and a kind heart that has been through hell and back.  But in spite of it all, she kept on going, never letting anything get in her way.  When you would meet her you couldn’t help but love her.  She was our Queen of doing the splits and the love she found as her last years were spent with Kirk Bradshaw.

Our hearts are broken to pieces.  Her name is Marlene; a daughter, a sister, a mother, a grandmother and a friend.  She always told us we would miss her when she was gone.

We miss you and love you Marlene
