Marlene Oram, 77, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at her home.
She was born January 17, 1935 in Ogden, Utah to William L. and Nettie Houghton Griffiths. She was raised and educated in Ogden, graduating from Weber High School. She lived her adult life in Sunset where she raised her family.
On July 27, 1953, Marlene married Donald J. Oram in Ogden, Utah. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1993.
She worked at Hill Air Force Base for more than 30 years as a Production Manager.
Marlene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was so much fun! She had a sense of humor that was very funny. She loved to read books. She loved the Utah Jazz and all sports. She loved spending time with her grandkids and attending their sporting events.
Marlene is survived by two children, Brent (Ruth) Oram, West Point; Bonna (Jon) Longo, Roy; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonna Auffhammer, Syracuse; Shanna (Dave) Craw, Colorado; one brother, Terry (Mary Lou) Griffiths, Wyoming; and two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Keyes and Betty Donaldson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one daughter, Rona Orozco.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 5th at 11 a.m. at the West Point Cemetery, 40 North 4000 West.
The family will meet with friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
