Marlin Keith Loosle

SYRACUSE – Marlin Keith Loosle, 82, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015.

He was born March 11, 1933 in Clarkston, Utah the son of Byron Lee and Ella Lauretta Larson Loosle.

Marlin married Theresa Cruz on June 10, 1966.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Marlin retired from Morton Thiokol as an Engineer.  He received many Superior High Performance Awards from Morton Thiokol Space Operations.

He was a member of the LDS Church and served in various callings throughout his life.  He and his wife served a mission in Spain.

Marlin loved sports, coaching many Little League football and baseball teams.  He also loved the Utah Jazz.

Surviving are his wife Theresa, Syracuse; sons, Michael, North Logan; Timothy Jon, Bloomington, IL; Jeffrey Kevin, North Salt Lake; daughters, Sherry McCloud, Las Vegas, NV; Laura Padilla, Syracuse; Vanessa Marble, FL; 18 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brother Lyle, Highland; and sister, Ileen Barlow, Corvalis, OR.

Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse Maplewood Ward, 2228 So. 1660 W., Syracuse.  Friends may visit family Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Clarkston, Utah.

Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
