Marlisse Giles

MARLISSE ANN SORENSEN GILES

1933-2019

Marlisse Ann Sorensen Giles passed away on January 9, 2019.  She was born November 4, 1933 in Salt Lake City to Case and Virginia (Parker) Sorensen.  She married Howard J. Giles in May of 1952 in Bountiful, UT.  After Howard’s passing in 1979, she married John Morck.  They later divorced.

Raised in Northern Utah, Marlisse graduated from Davis High School.  She enjoyed the outdoors, and loved to go camping and fishing. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She is survived by her sons, Brad, Kevin and Clay; daughter, Shauna; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Val Sorsensen; and sister, Shelba Fausett.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Mike, and sister, LaJuana Noorda.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 10:15-11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 21st, at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful and a short Memorial Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. to honor Marlisse’s life.  Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
