Our beloved Marlo peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, after gracefully enduring a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born February 12, 1940, to Hugh Barber Wilcox and Wanda Stoker.
Marlo lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed nature, camping, fishing, and especially working with his plants (babies) in his yard. He loved his profession as a Human Resource Director and will be remembered for always trying to build, encourage, and help advance those who worked under him.
His greatest joy was being with his family and friends. He loved to torment and nurture his grandchildren. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a true disciple of Jesus Christ. He served in many positions of the Church including bishop three times. He kept his sense of humor, kindness, and love of people to the very end and was more concerned about others than himself.
Marlo is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Cheryl (Sherry) Wilcox; a daughter, Cori (Christopher), Morgan; and sons, Jeffery (Cammy) Wilcox, Blake (Michelle) Wilcox, Kurtis (Cara) Wilcox; siblings, Sonya (Bill) Campbell, and Ken (Alice) Wilcox; eighteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Brad, an infant son; his parents; Hugh and Wanda; stepmother, Nell; and Ted (Lanae) Wilcox, a brother.
A special thanks to Carrie, Cierra, and Sally Kay of Dixie Home Health for their remarkable and loving care of Marlo.
