Marshal Deen Hall

LAYTON - On February 12, 2016, Marshal Deen Hall, the only son of Jack and YuRee (Tyler) Hall returned home to his Heavenly Father’s embrace. He was born September 23, 1997, in Layton, UT.  Even though he would never admit being born in Utah.  He told everyone that he was born in South Carolina.

Marshal was a completing his senior year at Layton High School. He was recently sworn into the United States Marine Corps in the aviation field.  Marshal had also been enrolled in Bountiful Flight and had aspirations to someday become a pilot.  He loved music, guitar, longboarding, flying, traveling, the Patriots, and spending time with and serving those he loved.

Marshal’s love of travel stems from his youth as a military child. He has lived in Utah, Arkansas, Illinois, and South Carolina. He has attended eight different schools and has worked at Burger King and Pizza Pie Café. His favorite vacation was last summer when he was able to travel through Canada to Alaska with his grandparents where he was able to fish for salmon, fly a seaplane, and go sea life watching.

Almost everyone who has met Marshal will tell you that he had an infectious smile.  He tried to make the best of his situations, friends would say that he was the reason they were able to get through a hard day at work or through a tough assignment.  Marshal was the first person to serve and the last to want to be served.

Marshal was the oldest of four children.  He adored his little sisters and could not stand to see them upset or unhappy.  Once he was old enough to have a job and income, he loved to take them out and get gifts or treats for them.  He was such a good older brother and would sit through all the Barbie and other girly movies just to make them happy.  This made him not a very reliable babysitter because they almost always got their way.

No parent could have asked for a better son.  Marshal was always willing to go the extra mile to make life easier for his mom.  Marshal often times had to take on the role of “man of the house” to help do the medial chores mom wasn’t strong enough to handle.  Marshal was always there when his dad needed his help.  Whether it be something simple as mowing the lawn or harder things like building projects, Marshal didn’t like his dad to have to work alone so he willing worked beside him.

Marshal is survived by his parents, three sisters: Ailene, Caylee and Briele; grandparents: Terry and Kim Tyler and Daniel and Hatsa Teale. Preceded in death by grandfather: Guy Hall
