Marta Black, 79, of Syracuse, Utah, died on January 6, 2017, at her home in Layton. Born July 21, 1937 in California, she is predeceased in death by her parents, Melvin McClure and Virginia McClure (Harrington), and her husband of 50 years, Charles F. Black Jr., of Syracuse, Utah, son, Larry, grandson, Richard Ryan Call, and two great-grandchildren, Jackson Call and Evelyn Call

She is survived by her two children, Richard A. Call and wife, (Joni Call) and Dorathy Jo Law and husband, (Brandon D. Law), five grandchildren, Robert Call and wife, (Carli Call), Tilar Law and wife (Shelby Law), McCall Law, Talon Law, and Preslie Law, and three great-grandchildren, Lily and Julia Call and Beckett Law, and sister, Judy Garcia.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
