Martha Jane Wilcox Humphreys
“Together Again”
On February 28, 2015, Martha was called home to the embrace of her Heavenly Father.
She was born July 29, 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Richard Elmer and Wanda Marie Wilcox. She attended Granite High School, married, later divorced and from that union four children were born. She married Russell K. Humphreys, whom she deeply loved, on October 10, 1998 in West Valley City, Utah.
She was a member of the LDS Church. Among her favorite activities were gardening, reading, sewing and watching movies.
Martha was a loving mother, wife, sister and grandmother. Her smile could light up anyone’s day and her one of a kind personality will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her children; Marna Wilcox, Craig (Alicia) Lewis, Wendy Wilcox, Tony (Lisa) Lewis; two sisters Charlotte Chapman, Catherine (Dennis) Adderley; two brothers Rickie (Suzanne) Wilcox and David Wilcox; 11 grandchildren; 16 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Russell Humphreys, parents Richard E. and Wanda M. Wilcox, grandparents W. LeRoy Macklin and Martha Sorenson; two brothers Terry and Gary Haley and brother-in-law Floyd R. Chapman.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, March 6, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Villa Chapel, 451 Bishop Federal Lane, Salt Lake City, where friends and family will meet 1 hr. prior to services. Inurnment West Jordan City Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
