Martin Kraals Fotou, 81, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012 of dementia at a lovely rest home. He was born on July 15, 1931 in Salt Lake City to George Emanuel and Wilhelmina Kraals Fotou.

He married Marilyn Smith in 1954. They had many happy years together. Marilyn passed away of cancer in May of 2011.

Martin was one of those one-of-a-kind people. He loved deer hunting, trout fishing and flying his plane. When he was younger he liked fighting.

He worked at an oil refinery and also owned a bar for many years. Martin was a Sales Manager at Clark Buick GMC in Bountiful for many years and still had time for his outdoor activities.

Martin is survived by 2 sons; Mark (Pixie) of Kaysville, Utah and Steve (Gigi) of Gig Harbor, Washington; 2 dearly loved grandsons, Austin and Nicholas; 2 sisters, Sally Spainhower of West Valley City, Utah and Sue Egbert of Mill Creek, Washington; and many nephews and nieces.

He will be cremated and his ashes will go to his favorite fishing spot in Washington. Cremation entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary.
