Martin Robert Johnson

Martin “Marty” Johnson 1951-2010 Marty was born March 10, 1951 to Robert Carl Johnson and Deloris Holt Johnson at Lackland AFB hospital, Texas. Marty was a student at the American Fork Training School for many years until he met his foster parents, Kari and Kristy Suojanen whose family took him into their home and loved him as their own. Marty worked with Kari as a teacher’s aide at the Dan Peterson School in American Fork. He died peacefully the evening of January 1, 2010 of congestive heart failure with loved ones at his side. He is survived by his brother, Lester Johnson, foster parents, Kari and Kristy Suojanen, and their children, Michael, Stanley, and Jaymi; half sisters Pat White Arnoldus, Karen White Mascaranez, Kathleen White McNeil, plus many cousins and an Aunt Erma Petty. He was preceded in death by his mother, Deloris White, stepfather, Fred White, sister Lynda Johnson, half brothers Jerry White and Daniel White and foster bother Rob Suojanen. Memorial services will be held 10 am Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the Memorial LDS Chapel, 4255 South 4800 W. West Valley City. Graveside services will follow at the Valley View Memorial Park.
