SYRACUSE a€" Martin LaMar Loose, 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday October 4, 2009. He was born March 8, 1926 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada to Awold Franz and Pearl Webster Loose.

LaMar married Elizabeth (Betty) Kolybaba on March 10, 1946; they were later sealed in the Cardston, Alberta LDS Temple.

LaMar served in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He retired from 3M as a Chemical Engineer.

LaMar was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout his life. He served as a temple ordinance worker and in many other callings.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

LaMar is survived by his sons, Wayne (Marcie) and Cameron (Gina), daughters, Marsha (Jerry) Gustad, Judy Stuhlman, 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, brother, Courtney (Linda) Loose and sister, Dorothy (DeLoy) Wight both residing in Canada.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse LDS Fourth Ward Chapel, 1625 S. 1100 W., Syracuse. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services.

Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery, 1290 S. 1000 W.
