Marva Janell Taylor Price

Marva Janell Taylor Price, 75, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at her home in South Ogden. She was born September 19, 1936 in Chandler, Arizona; the daughter of Carl Hicks and A. Lucille Taylor.

She graduated from Weber High School and then worked at Beneficial Finance.

On March 14, 1958, she married James Marvin Price in North Ogden, Utah.

Marva was a devoted wife and mother and was a constant source of encouragement, inspiration and courage to those around her.

She enjoyed Civil War History, Sunflowers, reading, music, Autumn, collecting Hallmark Christmas Ornaments and Dept. 56 Snow Village Pieces and traveling extensively throughout the United States with her family.

Marva is survived by her husband of 54 years, James and their daughter, Jerine Marian Price; siblings, Beverly Dixon, Carlos Taylor, Raynald Taylor, Mervyn Taylor; and many nieces and nephews who affectionately called her "Aunt Marv".

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and sister, Yvonne.

A new world in the morning is today. Don''t be dismayed by worldly goodbyes. A farewell is necessary before we can meet again. And meeting again after moments, years or lifetimes, is certain for parents and their children. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
