Celebration of life for Mary Brown Albrechtsen

Mary and her twin sister Merle were born 88 years ago in McNary, Arizona on January 8, 1929. She had four brothers and two sisters.

She grew up in Farmington, New Mexico, and Price and Salt Lake City, Utah.

She married Beamen Albrechtsen in 1951 and they lived in Kaysville for a short time before moving to Layton.

They had four children, three boys and a girl. Two of the boys passed on as infants.

David, her son, had two boys Patrick and Cameron and Linda, her daughter, had two boys BJ and Tucker, and one daughter, Dakota.

Beamen passed away in 1985 and David passed away in 1996 so she has lived on her own since then.

She had a career as a cosmetologist and beauty instructor for most of her life and really enjoyed it.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, and riding her ATV at the sand dunes. She was an avid reader and really enjoyed all types of books.

In 2006 she moved from Layton to Overton, Nevada to be near her twin sister and get out of the cold weather.

In 2013 she moved in with her daughter in West Point.  She was active in the Clearfield senior center where she enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

She passed away very peacefully on February 27th. She had a good run!!!
