Mary Ellen Barker

February 3, 1923 ~ February 10, 2018

Our beloved aunt Mary Ellen passed away peacefully with her niece Lori and nephew Bill at her side on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from just living a long and beautiful life.

She was dedicated to God; she loved our savior Jesus Christ, and her family. She selflessly served everyone around her. Mary Ellen was born February 3, 1923 in Piedmont Wyoming to Ruby Brown and Lewis P Byrne as the fifth of seven children.

Mary Ellen was very strong-willed; she would not let anything stand in her way. In her early twenties she contracted Tropical Typhus which all but killed her and she overcame it. She was a caregiver she stayed by Bobs side and cared for him as he battled cancer. She cared for her aliening son Dennis until they both passed on.

She had broken her femur at the age of 94, we were advised by doctors to just let he die. She said "I am 94 years young I want surgery" she went through surgery and came through it with flying colors. That is what you call strong willed! She loved life and took it by the horns. She was a beautician in Hollywood, California; some of her clients were Jerry Lewis, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr.

She owned and operated her Beauty Salon Cut and Curl also the Ranch Inn Bar, both in Ogden UT. She had a peanut business in Phoenix AZ. in which she retired from.  She loved art making beautiful jewelry, ceramics, painting and Gods beautiful sunsets.  She loved going out to dinner she enjoyed going on road trips and seeing Gods beauty around her. She loved children, she loved all of her nieces and nephews they all held a special place in her heart. She moved to Maricopa AZ. where she spent many years there with Bob Call her love. She moved to Deweyville UT. in 2010 were she stayed with Bill and Lori and lived out the rest of her days. She stayed at Willow Glen's Rehabilitation Center after falling and breaking her femur in May 2017. Mary Ellen loved all the staff and other associates at Willow Glen's she was known as the mother hen. Mary Ellen was loved greatly by her sister-in-laws LeaRae Byrne , Fran Call and brother-in -law Rex Call all of her nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, all of those that came to know her grew to love her.

Mary Ellen married Alvin Barker of North Ogden UT, and they moved to Los Angeles, CA. They had an amazing son together Dennis Alvin Barker, they later divorced.  She married Bob Lynch and they lived in Ogden after eleven years they divorced. She later met and fell in love with Bobby Call they spent many years together in Maricopa AZ. until Bob passed away.

She had two granddaughters Sue and Amanda. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, bothers, sister and son Dennis. We know that our Heavenly Father has a special place for her in heaven.
