Mary Wilcox Carter

Mary Wilcox Carter, 96, passed away Monday, January 5, 2014.

She was born May 8, 1918 to Hannah Marie Christensen and Roy Wilcox in Heiner, Utah. She was the fourth of six children, all who preceded her except Kate Allen her youngest sister.

Mary had five children, Marietta Fleagle, Loa Jeanne Cragun, David W. Evans (Nan), Ellen Maurine Evans and LuAnn Lickey (Dan). She has 21 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren with four on the way.

She taught accordion for many years and loved playing at Weber County Mental Health, many rest homes, and senior centers.

Mary was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings and served a mission to the Lamanites for four years.

Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Beehive Homes in Clearfield for their tender loving care these past four years.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Thursday from 9:45 to 10: 45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
