Mary Chavez

Mary B. Chavez, 76, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the Ogden Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on April 25, 1945, in Ogden, Utah to Welbourne A. Wright and Lillian F. Wright.

She was a beautician for many years at the Beauty Box, worked at the retreat at Hill Air Force Base, and did demos at Costco. Mary attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from Ogden High School in 1963.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, neighbor, and friend. She is survived by four children, 17 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Being a grandma meant so much to her, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her loving children, Michael D. Bunting (Donnell), Paul A. Bunting (Ann Marie), Jamie L. Suiter, and Charles D. Crossen. She leaves behind her siblings, two brothers and three sisters, Stephen Wright (Lita), Annette Walcher, Teresa Dellamore (Mark), John Wright (Becky), and Kathy Hyden (Bart); and her former spouse, Jack Crossen. She is preceded in death by her son, Lance C. Bunting; her former spouses, Ted E. Bunting and Jim Chavez; her parents, Welbourne A. and Lillian Wright; three brothers, Bill Wright, Joseph Wright, and David Wright; and former son-in-law, Doug Suiter.

Her dedication to her loved ones and friends was incredible. She always showed her true heart and kindness openly. She was the greatest mom, sister, and family member anyone could ask for. She was loved by everyone around her including her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many cousins. She loved her family very much and was always happy to see everyone at family gatherings. She enjoyed taking trips to Nevada with her sisters.

She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Mary will be greatly missed but will never be forgotten. Heaven gained another angel.

Friends may visit with family on Friday, January 14, 2022, at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mary loved flowers, but she loved her grandchildren more. In lieu of sending flowers, we ask that donations be made to the account of “In Honor of Mary” at America First Credit Union. Donated funds will be much-appreciated to help with family expenses.
