Mary J. Daniels
LAYTON, Mary Josephine Daniels age 86 passed away on November 5, 2015. She was born January 17, 1929, in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Clarence Radcliff and Margaret Brown Radcliff. She was the oldest of 9 children.
Mary retired from HAFB after 26 years of civil service working on F101, F4 and C130 aircraft. After retirement she worked for Wal-Mart for 11 years. She filled her free time working at Hickory Farms during the holiday season. Mary belonged to the Federal Women’s Association and America Business Women’s Association. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader and also served as a PTA President.
Mary was an avid bowler and competed in bowling tournaments across the country. She loved to travel and enjoyed gardening, especially taking care of her rose bushes. She was also a loyal Jazz fan and rarely missed watching them play. Mary had many friends and enjoyed the time she spent with them. She also cared deeply for her family.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Earl Radcliff, and sisters Betty Koppes, Cleta Williams, Arlene Reames and Patsy Pauley.
She is survived by her four children: Jim (Diane) Boydstun, Carolyn (Richard) Christofferson, Wayne (Kathy)
Boydstun, Kevin (Amanda) Boydstun, 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. Friends may visit with family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd.
