Mary Louise Amason Underwood Farnworth

CLEARFIELD - Mary Louise Amason Underwood Farnworth, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Friday, May 18, 2012 at the age of 95.

Mary Louise Amason was born on October 16, 1916 in Jonesboro, Louisiana, to Clara Cordelia Kennedy and Eli William Amason. She Married James Loyd Underwood on January 6, 1940. After raising three children, she was later married to Tomas Grant Farnworth and helped raise his two sons.

She is survived by her daughter Sherian Ann Underwood, a resident of Clearfield, Utah, her son Gene Kenneth Underwood, of Lancaster, Virginia, and stepsons Neil Farnworth, West Jordan, Utah and Boyd Farnworth, Twin Falls Idaho, grandson Shawn Kenneth Underwood, great-granddaughters'' Morgan Saint Clair and Carley Anne Underwood, all of Washington, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Carol Underwood Bracket, her first husband, James Loyd Underwood, second husband, Tomas Grant Farnworth, Parents, brothers, Wiley Whitfield Amason (Whit), Kennedy Jennings Amason (Kent), Thurel Randolf Amason, Fred William Amason, and sister, Opal Estell Amason Hawn.

A longtime resident of Ogden Utah, Mary was active in the Washington Elementary and Jr. High School PTA program, often serving as a room mother at that school. She has also resided in Twin Falls, Idaho; Costa Mesa, California; Kansas City, Missouri; and finally Clearfield, Utah.

We are forever grateful for our mother''s love and care (and spunk) in raising us. We are lucky children.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 S. State, Clearfield, Utah. Friends may visit family Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
