Mary Ann Fitch, 85, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Apple Village in Layton, Utah.

She was born September 13, 1929 in Mayville, Wisconsin the daughter of John Edward and Maxine Patricia Bachhuber Pichotta.

She married Carl Walter Gruebel. They were later divorced. 

Mary Ann had many talents including: teaching math for 30 plus years and became a talented artist during retirement.  She moved to Utah nine years ago and they have been the best years of her life with family and friends.

Surviving are her daughter Susan (William Hilger) Kons-Hilger, son, Mark (Julie) Gruebel, grandchildren, Katie, Weston, Chris, Kristena, Nick, Patrick, Olivia, Dylan, Kristin, Alison and their families.  She was known as Grandma the Great by her nine great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are her sister Jean Gross and brother Richard Pichotta.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Terese Klein Beronja.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 E. 5550 So., South Ogden.

The family would like to give special thanks to her Angel, Mindy Garcia, Hospice Nurse Julie Colvin, Aide Kathy and staff members at Apple Village Assisted Care Facility who all provided extraordinary care during the last year of her life.  You are all so very special.
