Mary Patricia Files Hoddy

OGDEN-Mary Patricia Files Hoddy passed away peacefully on September 14, 2012. She was born in Ogden, Utah to Willis Leon and Therma Betteridge Files. Pat, as she was known, was the center of her family. She was always there to lend a helping hand and a listening ear. She was fun-loving and witty. She made friends easily and cared deeply for her family. She raised her children in Miami, Florida and returned to Utah in 1991 after the death of her beloved husband David VanAuker.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and always found a way to express her faith through her testimony and in her kindness to others.

Pat is survived by her children, Kathy Marriott, Julie (Eric) Dahlkamp, Lisa (Eldon Telford) Artman, Mike (Julie) VanAuker, and Ron Marriott; 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Mike (Carol) Files and Bill (Kathy) Files.

The family would like to thank all those at Manor Care and Stoney Brook for their loving care of our beloved mom.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd., South Ogden.
