Mary Ann Humpherys, 65, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012, from complications due to strokes, at South Davis Hospital. She was born January 6, 1947 in Cedar City, Utah to Leonard and Greta Davenport Dalton. Her father died when she was three years old and her mother married Gayle Wood, who became her loving father. She was raised and educated in Parowan and graduated from Parowan High School. She had a beautiful childhood in Parowan, Utah. After High School, she graduated from beauty school and was self-employed in the Cosmetology business. On July 11, 1969, Mary Ann married Keith Hyrum Humpherys in the St. George LDS Temple. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings and organizations including Relief Society, Young Women''s and Primary. Mary Ann had a great love for children and worked as a reading tutor for 15 years. Because she loved serving others, she was also an active volunteer for the American Diabetes Association. She loved using her creative talents to serve others and made numerous quilts for the local women''s shelter. She was an exceptional cook, extremely artistic and crafty and loved to go on long drives. She was a mother to anyone who needed her help. She will be remembered as a loving wife to her husband, Keith and a wonderful mother to her boys and not to mention a dear friend to many. Mary Ann is survived by her husband; three sons, Mason (Tandra) Humpherys, Clinton; Kirk (Jackie) Humpherys, Clearfield; Spencer Humpherys, Logan; three grandchildren; her parents, Greta and Gayle Wood, Parowan; and two brothers, Danny (Cheryl) Wood, Riverton; and Jeffery (Julie) Wood, Parowan. She was preceded in death by her father Leonard Dalton and her grandparents. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 19th at 2 p.m., at the Clinton Utah Stake Center Chapel, 1288 West 1300 North. The family will meet with friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the church. Interment in the Clinton City Cemetery.
