Mary Knight Hyde

Mrs. Mary Knight Hyde, age 78, wife of William R. Hyde died January 19, 2018 after a long illness.

Mary was born May 16, 1939 in Ogden, Utah to Stephen and Helen Vanderpol Knight.  She was raised in Plain City, Utah and later moved to Ogden, Salt Lake City and Santa Clara.  She graduated from Weber High School and was an accomplished pianist, dancer, and dance instructor.

She married William R. Hyde in the Salt Lake LDS Temple September 2, 1965.

She worked for the Ogden Juvenile Courts and the Utah Department of Corrections for 30 plus years where she retired as Manager of Support Service for Adult Probation and Parole in 2002.

Mary enjoyed traveling, sightseeing, and spending time with family, especially her grandson.

She is survived by William her husband of 52 years, son Kevin Hyde, Sandy, UT; grandson Kaiden Hyde, Sandy, UT; and brother Stephen Knight, Emmett, ID.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 E. Crestwood Road.  Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main Street.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Huntsman Cancer Institute per Mary’s request.
