Mary L. Johnson
BRIGHAM CITY – Mary L. Johnson, 82, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007 at Pioneer Care Center in Brigham City.
She was born December 14, 1924 in Marion, Illinois, to Ernest and Roxie Terrell Dungey.
On March 26, 1943, she married Joseph D. Johnson in Ogden. They lived in Ogden, Roy and Harrisville, Utah. He passed away on February 6, 2000.
Mary had always been very active until the last few years when her eyesight began failing. She was very active and involved with bowling in past years and also in golf which she loved. For many years she was a member of the Ben Lomond Ladies Golf Association in which she held several offices. Mary loved to travel and she and her husband took many golf trips together.
Surviving are her son, Joseph Danny (Dixie) Johnson, Willard; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one brother, Ernest (Jean) Dungey, Marble Falls, TX; and one very special faithful, caring friend, Mary Mueller.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, six brothers and her parents.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
