Mary Tina Mather

Tina was born Jan 27, 1932 in Hyde Park Utah, to Evander Lee Waite and Oneita Hyde Waite. She married Ronald K. Mather on Aug 3, 1951 in the Logan LDS Temple. They moved to Ogden soon after where she has resided until present. She became the mother of three children, Chris Mather, Teresa (David) Forsberg, and Vickie (Bill) Prows. Tina was grandmother to 8 and great-grandmother to 9. Tina passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Friday, April 4 in the presence of her devoted son, Chris. She had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ which was displayed by her charitable attitude and service she provided in the LDS church and community. She was an accomplished seamstress, fly fisher, and property manager. She enjoyed dancing with her brother Lee and son Chris. A passionate genealogist and member of the DUP & Mormon Battalion, she was very proud of her pioneer heritage. Tina also served in Cub Scouting for many years in several positions. Funeral Directors, Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road. A viewing will be held at 2:30 followed by services at 3:00 Wednesday the 9th at the Hyde Park, Utah chapel, 65 E. Center Street. Interment in the Hyde Park Cemetery. Donations to the Humane Society in her name are preferred in lieu of flowers. e-mail condolences to the family at www.lindquistmortuary.com
