Mary E. Medlin
OGDEN – Mary E. Medlin, 88, died Wednesday, April 19, 2007 from complications due to age.
She was born May 1, 1918 in Washoe, Montana, a daughter of Martin and Clara Majercak. She had lived in Montana, Wyoming, California, Arizona and Utah. She had snow-birded from Utah to Arizona for twenty-one years.
Mary was married to Robert Parks (divorced). Married Merlin Clark (divorced). Married Dene Caple (deceased). Married William Medlin (deceased). She has spent the past thirteen years sharing her life with Wilbur Wayne Stephens, committed loving partner and best friend.
She was a devoted single mother for many years of her life, working as a bookkeeper, secretary, and office manager. Over the years she had worked at Reliable Furniture, VanKampen’s Furniture, Fram Corp., and ZCMI.
Mary is survived by her two sons, Kenneth L. (Joy George) Parks, Boise, ID; Alan F. (Glenda) Parks, Ogden. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren, three nieces and Wayne Stephens and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Frank Majercak; her elder sister, Anne Olsen Anthony; and one granddaughter.
The family wishes to thank the staffs of Pineview Transitional Rehab and Applegate.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Family will meet friends at the mortuary Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
