Mary Alice Jorgenson Miller

December 6, 1941 ~ October 19, 2015

Mary Alice Jorgenson Miller, 73, returned to her Heavenly Father on October 19, 2015 at her home in Cedar City, UT.  She is the widow of Darryle Gene Miller (1938-1985).

Mary was born in Moroni, UT on December 6, 1941.  Her family moved to Kaysville in 1948. She graduated from Davis High School in 1960.  She graduated from Brigham Young University in 1964 with a Bachelors of Science.

Mary met the love of her life and was sealed to Darryle Gene Miller in 1973.  Mary was widowed at age 44 with eight young children at home.  Her life's biggest work was raising their children.  In 2001 she was honored to receive North Ogden Cherry Days "Mother of the Year" award.

She was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  She enriched many lives through her countless hours of service and tender care. Mary enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, singing and spending time with family.

Mary is survived by her children Michyle Miller, Afton WY; Janette Doughtery (Larry), Roy; Karen Millerer, Roy; David Miller (Joy), Cedar; Elizabeth DeHart, Riverton; Robert Miller (Nikkie), Bountiful; Sarah Miller, Cedar; Nathan Miller (Alean), Enoch; Mark Miller (Carrie), Cedar; Thomas Miller (Rachael), Riverton; Benjamin Miller (Toni), Palmer, AK; 33 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; her brothers John Kay Jorgenson (Mary), AK;  Scott Jorgenson, CA.  Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Darryle Gene Miller; her parents, John & Pearl (Arnoldsen) Jorgenson; brother, Alan Jorgenson, and her son Dewayne Miller.

Mary and her children express humble gratitude to those who served, supported, and enriched the Miller family over the years, especially members of the North Ogden 8th Ward.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the North Ogden 8th Ward Chapel, 1150 East 2600 North.  Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden. .
