Mary Larsen Moore

May 26, 1926 ~ December 31, 2014

Mary Larsen Moore, 88, passed away on Wednesday morning, December 31, 2014.  She was born in Ogden on May 26, 1926, the daughter of Emil C. and Grace Stewart Larsen.  She grew up and spent most of her life in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School. She enjoyed spending the winter months in St. George.

She married Cloyd D. Moore on January 8, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Cloyd passed away on January 19, 2004.

Mary was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She loved leading the music and served as Stake Young Women President.

She enjoyed teaching business classes at Weber State.  She also enjoyed traveling, music, and tending her flower gardens.  She collected dolls and enjoyed square dancing.  Mary had an infectious smile.

Mary is survived by her son, Ross (Eileen), North Ogden; daughter, A.J. (Jill), California; seven grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; brother, Jack Larsen; and sister, June Brown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit family on Saturday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
