Mary Jocelyn Sandlund

OGDEN - Mary Jocelyn Sandlund, 85, passed away peacefully May 15, 2008 surrounded by family.

A life-long resident of Ogden and member of the LDS Church, Jocelyn was born September 22, 1922. She graduated from Ogden High School and worked at Hill Air Force Base during World War II. Jocelyn was later employed by Sears, Roebuck and Co. for 15 years.

She married Wallace A. Sandlund in Las Vegas on April 11, 1947 and together raised four loving children. Jocelyn is preceded in death by her loving husband, brother, Bud Ballinger, sisters, Arleen Farr and Gladys Nielsen, and daughter-in-law, Deborah Taylor Sandlund.

She is survived by Robert Sandlund, Alan and Debi Sandlund, Linda and Lee Leake, Nancy and Mike Ferguson, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Jocelyn enjoyed selling Avon, doing crafts, sewing, researching genealogy and loving her grandchildren. She is loved and will be missed by all of her family, friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 19, at 1 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
