Mary Ethel Summers

OGDEN – Mary E. Summers, 67, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014.

She was born September 18, 1947 in Hinton, Oklahoma, a daughter of Oren Klüver and Ethel “Jewel” Payne. She was raised and educated in Wichita and graduated from Wichita High School South.

On July 1, 1966, Mary married Charles Lee Purvis in Witchita, Kansas.  On February 29, 1980, she married Randall Herbert Summers in Ogden, Utah.

She has lived in Oklahoma, Kansas, Florida, Former West Germany, New Mexico and Utah.

She enjoyed her dogs, and crafts: crochet, needle point and cross-stitch.

Mary is survived by her son, Charles Lee (Robin) Purvis, Jr., Clinton; and a sister, Diane (Jim) Lane, Witchita, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Michael Klüver.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Common Room at Victoria Ridge Apartments, 1024 Childs Ave., Ogden, UT.

Cremation entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
