Mary Ann Sparenberg

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and treasured friend Mary Ann Sparenberg died peacefully in her sleep on February 18, 2017 surrounded by family.

Mary Ann was born February 24, 1930 in St. Anne, Illinois to Mathias and Lenore Bieber.  She met and later married her childhood sweetheart Marvin Sparenberg. They had a glorious 62 year marriage until his passing in 2013.

Part of Mary Ann’s legacy was being president of the Varian Eimac Credit Union from 1976 to 1992.  Her loving kindness was endearing to all.  Her Catholic faith was extremely important to her.  Finally, Mary Ann was the person who gave her best to all of us; a smile, a great listening ear, and a hug that made us all feel important and special.  She loved playing bridge with her friends and traveling.  Her kindness will light a fire in each of us forever.

Mary Ann leaves behind her daughter Sue (Eric), son Kurt (Corry), three grandchildren Rachelle, Ashley, and Ian, and five great grandchildren.

We wish to thank the University Hospital’s Heart Failure Clinic for their amazing care of Mary Ann, which gave her the chance to live the last few years of her life at home.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, February 25, 2017 at St. Olaf’s Catholic Church, 1800 South Orchard Dr. with a reception/luncheon to follow.  Graveside services at 1:30 pm at Lakeview Memorial Park, 1640 E. Lakeview Dr. Bountiful, Utah. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.   Floral arrangements may be sent to: 379 W. 400 N. #6 Bountiful, Utah 84010
