MaryLou Berntsen

MaryLou Berntsen passed away at McKay-Dee Hospital on March 27, 2016.

She grew up in Eden, Utah the daughter of Lewis and Mary Fuller.

She married Grant Gibbs of Paradise, Utah where they lived and raised four children. They later divorced.  She married Keith Berntsen of Logan, Utah where they lived for many years.  After Keith’s passing she then moved to Layton, Utah where she spent her final years.

Mom was an excellent cook and loved to cook for her family and friends.  (She always said, “Food is love.”)

Mom spent many years entertaining people with her talent of guitar playing and singing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Kerry Grant Gibbs, brother, Rex Fuller and husband Keith Berntsen.

She is survived by her children, Gaelene (Paul) Beauchene, Sherrie (Tom) Williams, Steve (Janna) Gibbs, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Eden Cemetery.

Mom, you will be missed so much by your family and friends.
